Opportunities

Below is a list of our leadership positions.

1. Cell Group Leaders: Cell groups are our main vehicle for impacting the campus with the good news of Jesus Christ. Cells are small groups that function as greenhouses for evangelism, fellowship, and discipleship. Each group meets weekly and rotates house to house in order to build community. Group time includes fellowship, worship, scripture, and prayer, as well as strategizing on how to reach others with the gospel.

2. Freshley: Freshley aims to share the love and good news of Jesus with incoming freshmen by welcoming and helping them adjust to life as a college student. The main goal of Freshley leaders is to create relationships with freshmen. Fall semester features a weekly Bible Study on Monday nights. Both semesters feature freshman focused fellowship events each month. On the Freshley leader team, there are variety of opportunities ranging from discipleship, teaching, prayer, and event planning.

3. Worship: Leaders in the ministry area of Worship are devoted to leading others in worship on Wednesday nights, in individual cell groups, and by running sound. All applicants must try-out for the praise team and should be a sophomore or older.

4. Hospitality: We seek to show the love of Christ through service. The hospitality team does a lot of behind the scenes work including cooking, cleaning, special events, and service projects.

5. Missions: We exist to serve our community, nation, and world. The goal is to provide opportunities for students to step into actions of service. Our Missions leaders plan and organize mission trips and outreach opportunities.

6. Fundraising: The fundraising team seeks to serve GCSU Wesley Foundation and the campus by collaborating with other ministry areas to raise funds for various events and mission opportunities. Serving with the fundraising team offers students valuable experiences in leadership, event planning, and communication.
